2. Categories of Personal Data and processing activities

QVC is processing the following categories of personal data provided you when you use our Service:

  • Device usage and navigation data such as IP address and device identifiers.
  • Data on Service’s usage: data related to red button clicks, time spent on QVC+, number of sessions per each category and hours, User ID, Content Title, Genre.

3. Nature and purpose of the processing

Provision of personal data related to device’s usage are necessary in order to use the Service. Data related to Service’s usage are useful to QVC in order to conduct analysis and optimizing / improving the Service. In this case, IP addresses will be used only for producing aggregated statistics will be produced. Data related to Services’ usage will be collected only if you provide your consent. 4. Subject or categories of subject to whom personal data are communicated or shared with

For conduct the processing activities highlighted above in Section 3, your personal data will be:

  • Processed within QVC only those expressly authorized following the "need to know" principle.
  • Transmitted to the server managed by NPAW, which has been appointed as data processor, and other sub-processors only to the extent necessary to conduct the processing activities.

5. Data transfers

When necessary to conduct the processing activities described in Section 3, your personal data may be transferred in countries outside the United Kingdom; these countries may not be subject to an adequacy decision under United Kingdom law. Any transfer of personal data outside the UK is covered by an appropriate transfer mechanism. Where necessary, QVC will implement additional technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of protection to your personal data equivalent to the one in the United Kingdom.

6. Security measures and data retention

QVC takes security measures to protect Your personal data in the event of unauthorized loss, misuse, access and disclosure, alteration or destruction, considering the nature of the data and the risks posed by the processing of it. QVC may store Your personal data for complying with its legal, business, and contract requirements. In this case, your personal data will be stored exclusively for the time necessary to meet these requirements, considering the statute of limitations for any action in court. Data collected are stored for thirteen (13) months and then kept only for the time required by applicable laws.
